Kultera develops BI solution for Verizon
Verizon is currently deploying their advanced FiOS fiber optic service to the New York City area. The demands on planning, tracking, analyzing and reporting progress all while maintaining costs and maximizing return-on-investment are enormous. Kultera has implemented Verizon’s mission critical BI solution to achieve all of these goals and more.
Based solely on the Microsoft SQL Server platform, Kultera combined the use of Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and custom applications to provide a complete Business Intelligence solution. Microsoft SharePoint has also been integrated into the solution to provide “self service” access to reports and to facilitate collaboration between teams. Gathering data from disparate data sources and integrating them into a single data warehouse provides Verizon with the ability to easily monitor a number of Key Performance Indicators.
Utilizing Strategy Companion Analyzer as the analytical tool, allows Verizon to easily and quickly develop reports and dashboards which are targeted to specific users and groups allowing Verizon the better leverage the data warehouse. The Kultera solution allows Managers to post these Strategy Companion Analyzer reports to a dedicated portal that brings consistency, accuracy and reliability to Verizon’s reporting needs.
